## About YECKIT

### What is YECKIT?

A preparation workspace for customs brokers and importers. It brings importer authority, documents, classification notes, fee estimates and deadline clocks for each shipment into one house file, so the broker can review it before filing. The broker files through their own licensed channel.

### Does YECKIT file entries or transmit to CBP?

No. YECKIT has no connection to CBP, ACE or ABI and holds no filer code. Send stays disabled in the product. Every signed-in page carries the notice: “Pre-filing workspace. Not an ABI transmission. Not a customs-business filing.”

### Is YECKIT approved or certified by CBP?

No. YECKIT is not CBP-approved and makes no certification claim. ABI participants submit a letter of intent and meet CBP’s performance requirements. YECKIT is preparing for that path; it is not authorized today.

### Does YECKIT classify my goods?

No. YECKIT can show GRI-based notes and chapter proposals labelled “Proposal. Not a classification.” The HTS number, the duty and the classification decision are entered and confirmed by the broker.

### Who can see my shipment files?

Your house administrators and the importer the file belongs to. Each importer sees only their own files; other houses and other importers get no access. Signed-in pages are scoped by house and importer on the server.

### How much does YECKIT cost?

Three proposed plans: Starter $99 a month (25 drafts, then $1.00 each), House $175 (80, then $0.85) and Port $399 (400, then $0.55). These are an operator model, not a live quote or live billing.

### Does YECKIT replace my customs broker?

No. Transacting customs business for others requires a broker license. YECKIT helps the broker and importer prepare; the licensed broker stays responsible for reasonable care.

## Filing deadlines

### When is ISF 10+2 due?

For most ocean cargo, the importer’s ISF data is due no later than 24 hours before the cargo is laden aboard the vessel at the foreign port. Four elements may be updated later, but no less than 24 hours before arrival at a U.S. port. Bulk cargo is exempt. YECKIT tracks the clock; it does not file the ISF.

### How long do I have to file entry after arrival?

Merchandise must be entered within 15 calendar days after landing, or after arrival at the destination port for in-bond moves.

### When is the entry summary due?

Within 10 working days after the time of entry, with estimated duties attached, unless it was filed at the time of entry. YECKIT’s entry-summary clock uses this rule with a federal holiday calendar; the broker confirms the date.

## Fees and duties

### What is the Merchandise Processing Fee in fiscal year 2027?

From October 1, 2026, formal entries pay 0.3464% of value with a $34.58 minimum and a $670.86 maximum. Automated informal entries pay $2.77. YECKIT’s fee estimate uses these figures and is labelled an estimate.

### What is the Harbor Maintenance Fee?

0.125% of the value of commercial cargo loaded or unloaded at a listed U.S. port by commercial vessel, unless an exemption applies. It applies to ocean shipments only.

### Can I still use de minimis for shipments under $800?

Not for most shipments. Since June 24, 2026, the de minimis exemption is indefinitely suspended for imports valued at $800 or less arriving by any mode other than the international postal network. Those shipments need formal or informal entry.

### Does YECKIT calculate my final duty?

No. YECKIT shows a duty and fee estimate from the rates the broker enters. Final duty depends on classification, valuation, origin and any special programs, all decided by the broker and CBP.

## Authority and systems

### Does my customs broker need a power of attorney?

Yes. A broker must obtain a valid power of attorney before transacting customs business for you. The broker keeps it in their records; it is not filed with CBP. YECKIT tracks the POA date and copy for each importer.

Source: [19 CFR 141.46](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-19/section-141.46)

### What is ACE, and what is ABI?

ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) is CBP’s trade processing system. ABI (Automated Broker Interface) is the electronic channel brokers, importers and service bureaus use to transmit entry data to CBP and receive ACE responses. YECKIT connects to neither.
